Today, Things are MUCH WORSE. Spyware and Malware and now Fake Alerts are stealing information and data at a geometric rate. Worse yet zombified computers pose a threat to the end user, as well as corporate america. Denial of service could bring organizations to a screeching halt.
Identity theft is the #1 cyber crime.
